Target Countries: Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay, Uganda, Malawi, Africa region

Period: March 2019 to May 2021

Output 1: National food and agriculture services improve their risk analysis capacities and prioritize focus areas for implementation of their National Action Plans on AMR through the application of a methodology developed by FAO for a qualitative evaluation of the risks of AMR derived from food production.

Output 2: National authorities and local food chain actors improve their capacity for the exchange of risk information and perceptions via the FAO’s AMR Behaviour Change Community of Practice, a platform for the interdisciplinary development of pilot interventions incorporating behavioural science insights in Africa.

Output 3: National legislators strengthen the governance of AMR by carrying out an analysis of relevant legislation through a methodology developed by FAO. AMR-Lex database is finalized to ensure global access to existing legislation relevant to AMR into one easily searchable place.

Output 4: Inter-agency coordination on AMR is strengthened by participation in high-level meetings and dissemination of international recommendations and guidance.
