Making a difference in food security and nutrition

The Committee on World Food Security (CFS) is the foremost inclusive international and intergovernmental platform in the field of food security and nutrition. 

CFS supports countries’ efforts in tackling the root causes of hunger and malnutrition, promoting the progressive realization of the right to food and the development of sustainable and resilient food systems.​

It is an integral component of global governance on food security and reports to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) through the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).​
