To renew the composition of the Steering Committee of the High Level Panel of Experts on Food Security and Nutrition (HLPE-FSN) of the Committee on World Food Security (CFS) a call for nomination of experts is taking place until 28 February 2023.
The CFS HLPE-FSN is looking for ad hoc experts to draft the report on: “Strengthening urban and peri-urban food systems to achieve food security and nutrition in the context of urbanization and rural transformation”, to be to be launched in June 2024.
Different members of the HLPE-FSN Steering Committee participated in COP27 to address the interlinked climate and food crises, calling attention to the urgent need for action at all levels, starting with local communities and extending up to global organizations.
To respond to the CFS request, the HLPE-FSN is launching an open e-consultation to seek views and comments on the V0 draft of the report “Reducing inequalities for food security and nutrition”. The report will provide recommendations to the CFS workstream on inequalities.
