CFS MYPoW Mid-Term Review Open Meeting | 14:00-17:00, 16 April 2025 (German room and hybrid)

An Open Meeting will take place on 16 April 2025 from 14.00 to 17.00 in a hybrid format (German Room, C269, FAO Headquarters, and Zoom Platform). The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the compilation of inputs provided by CFS stakeholders on the areas of focus of the Mid-Term Review of the CFS MYPoW.

The purpose of this Zero Draft is to set the stage for a strategic discussion among CFS stakeholders towards the prioritization of topics/workstreams to be included in the next iteration of the document (First Draft).

Bureau and Advisory Group discussion on the CFS MYPoW Preparation Process - 20 April 2023

The discussion on the CFS MYPoW Preparation Process will take place within the context of the CFS Bureau and Advisory Group meeting on 20 April 2023.

In line with the outcomes of the First MYPoW meeting, CFS stakeholders are invited to provide initial indications on their preferred topics, as well as written feedback on existing preliminary proposals (if desired), and indicate gaps and areas that may have not been appropriately reflected yet by 20 March.

Within the process of preparing feedback, proponents are encouraged to further identify clusters of proposals on similar topics, establish a dialogue with other proponents and provide merged and consolidated proposals also by the deadline of 20 March. The CFS Secretariat stands ready to facilitate the process as well as to support and assist proponents in the preparation of consolidated proposals.

First MYPoW meeting – 3 March 2023 – 9:30-12:30 (CET) - Hybrid (Sheikh Zayed Room in FAO Headquarters and Zoom platform)

The First MYPoW meeting will offer a first opportunity for CFS stakeholders to exchange views on the Preliminary Proposals and to start identifying clusters of proposals on similar topics.

CFS stakeholders have time until 15 March to submit written feedback on the Preliminary Proposals and suggest possible clusters of proposals with similar topics, with a view to providing indications for the preparation of a list of prioritized workstreams to be discussed at the next open meeting in May.

CFS stakeholders that are interested in joining the First MYPoW meeting in person are kindly requested to inform the CFS Secretariat ([email protected]) by Tuesday 28 February.

Call for preliminary proposals

CFS stakeholders are invited to submit preliminary proposals for thematic workstreams to be considered for its Multi Year Programme of Work (MYPoW) for the 2024-2027 period that will be presented for endorsement at CFS51 by Thursday, 16 February 2023.
