Farhad Mirzaei holds a Ph.D in Livestock Production Management from the National Dairy Research Institurte,Karnal, India. He has attended several training workshops related to animal production. He is currently the Senior Research Scientist of the Livestock Production Management Department of the Animal Sciences Research Institute of Iran as an apex unit at top level for research and development on animal production management policies for whole country.

I have more than 20 years of experience in the animal production sector. His main areas of interest are in animal production management, animal husbandry practices for optimization of animal productivity, animal production systems in developing countries and livestock policies.

 I am also an advocate for open access research materials for their repurposing, reusing and sharing.

I have improved communication channels for researchers through the creation of a active linkage and the Agricultural Production and Systems Department Websites. This has helped to reduce my carbon footprints as I have reduced use of papers drastically.

 
I have successfully written a project for ICARDA in the collaborative Project with Pakistan and Afghanistan.

I was also a de facto member of the following adhoc and statutory committees, Member of economical survey committee,Member of the Institute Research Committee.

My main areas are Eco-efficiently animal production management, ruminant nutrition, food producing animal husbandry, tropical animal production systems, animal product processing.

I supervise several undergraduate and postgraduate research projects related to the above area.

I had situational Analysis of the dairy Sector for Iran, 2006

I was also the acting Principal Research Scientists on several occaisions. At this level I oversee the planning and implementation of the unit research programmes.
