As the staff member responsible for this activity I continuously strengthen the FAO users and inspire them with the highest standards of conduct and performance, as well as assist in the planning and procurement of IT –equipment and software, based on established equipment life cycle processes. I equally provide them with specifications for the purchase of hardware, software and peripherals and support in the preparation of IT‐related Purchase Requisitions.
I continue to manage the FAO Library's new discovery interface which offers a single search functionality across the Library's extensive collections, including all digital resources available in FAO.
The FAO library make a vital contribution to FAO’s goal of maximizing access to its information and advancing knowledge in the Organization’s fields of expertise.
I am a result oriented person because my main concern is to surpass a standard of excellence. My standard is set on my own past performance ﴾striving for improvement﴿ which enables me to get an objective measure as well as challenging goals that I have set; or even improving or surpassing what has already been done ﴾continuous improvement﴿.
