Rodney Mushongachiware is an extremely capable, hard-working individual who, through her own initiative, enthusiasm and personal attributes, has achieved significant success at a middle management level within the agricultural smallholder markets development sector. 

Rodney is currently the Market Linkage Advisor of the Agricultural Partnerships Trust (APT) a member of the MELANA consortia which is implementing a resilience building and markets development program  in 4 districts of Matabeleland. His most recent role prior to APT was Economic Recovery Development Officer (Agribusiness)  International Rescue Committee. 

Rodney is very active in the industry outside her direct professional responsibilities he currently participates in agricultural and youth development forums in and outside Zimbabwe through different platforms. In 2015, he was invited to present at the Africa Geospatial Forum (South Africa) on how geospatial tools could improve food security and the role that youth play in agriculture in Africa. In 2013 he represented Zimbabwe at the Global Youth Ag Summit which was held in Canada attended by representatives of 21 countries. The focus of the summit was on how youth could play a role in improving food security across the globe.

Rodney is a very personable individual who takes initiative and has proven her ability to deliver key outcomes for stakeholders. He has further contributed to the industry through other organisations including Zimbabwe Farmers Union Agriprenuership summits which are now held annually.
