Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) is the largest multi-crop research institute in the country. This organization is researching on the cultivation of high yielding varieties of grains, kandals, pulses, oilseeds, vegetables, fruits, spices, flowers etc. The organization is conducting research on soil and management of crops, management of pest and insect management, water and irrigation management, development of agricultural machinery, farm system development, harvesting of post-harvesting technologies and socio-related production, processing, marketing and quantification of soil. The director general is the chief executive of the organization. The Director General performed his work through three wings, namely, research wing, service and supply and through three directors of training and communication wing. Research wing is conducting and analyzing all the research through 7 centers, 17 divisions, 7 regional centers and 28 sub-centers. Services and supplies provide logistic support related to wing research and manpower management. The wing also maintains the development and storage of the organization's infrastructure. Training and Communication Wing provide various training for human resources development and scholarships for higher education. The Wing Seminar and Symposium are seriously arranged.
