I have a Ph.D in Agricultural Economics from Michigan State University. Currently I head an Agricultural Research and Consulting firm in New Delhi. I have extensive work experience with UNFAO, World Bank, IFAD, ADB, IFPRI, USAID, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and other leading international agencies on agriculture and related issues.

As the agriculture sector moves from a traditional to modern system, I have worked on a wide range of emerging issues, with special focus in enabling small farmers to be part of modern agribusiness systems. My key areas of specialization are agricultural value chain, technology adoption, producer organizations, and impact of climate change. I also have extensive experience in livestock related issues including dairy, poultry(commercial and backyard) and small ruminants. I have implemented large-scale research projects including quantitative and qualitative research in these areas.
