Agricultural economist over 24+ years of diverse experience in different governmental and nongovernmental organizations and different areas including farmers' cooperative promotion, planning, monitoring and evaluation, agricultural inputs and product marketing in general and livestock and meat marketing in particular. Dugasa is now a Director of Society for Education, Environment and development (SEED). Before joining SEED, he served as consultant for AGP/LMD of CFNA financed by USAID and CARE Ethiopia. He also worked as program manager for Rural Development for Agro pastoralists (ROBA). Dugasa worked in the former Ethiopia Sanitary, Phytosanitary Standards Livestock and Meat Marketing Program (SPS-LMM) financed (2007-2011) by USAID as livestock marketing specialist. In former Livestock Marketing Authority (1999 to 2004) he served as a senior livestock marketing expert. After liquidation of the Authority in 2004 he joined Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MoARD) of Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia where he served as livestock and meat marketing senior expert and team leader of the then Agricultural Products Marketing Team structured under Agricultural Products and Inputs Marketing Sector. He has MA degree in Economics from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNU), New Delhi, India; B.Sc. degree in Agricultural Economics from Haromaya University, Ethiopia, Post Graduate Diploma from Development Study Center, Rehovot, Israel and Diploma in Animal Sciences from the former Debre-Zeit Junior College of Agriculture, Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia.
