The objectives of the meeting are to:

• review the progress of activities in 2025-2026 as part of SOI agreement: risk information sharing, digitization of reporting, preparedness and early warning surveillance, laboratory support, post vaccination monitoring;
• present and discuss regional and national FMD and similar TADs (PPR, SGP, LSD) situation, progress made, and major risks identified;
• agree on priorities, possible support, way forward and update of SOI agreement;
• plan the improvement of national passive surveillance based on the results of the programme for assessing sensitivity of passive surveillance, as part of the plan to improve early warning surveillance;
• plan the next Joint Permanent Committee meeting of SOI in May at WOAH General Session in Paris;
• conduct the annual face-to-face meeting of the Group for Vaccination Advice, Guidance and Consultation.
