The meeting has the objectives to:

• exchange information on the epidemiological situation and level of implementation of control programmes for FAST in the participating countries;
• identify gaps and synergies in the control and surveillance strategies adopted by countries and programmes implemented in the region;
• discuss practical aspects to facilitate the regular sharing of risk information on FAST diseases among countries of the region and promote the creation of a dedicated platform.
• provide the participating countries with international and regional technical assistance.
