CAC49 / Side event showcases leadership and advocacy for sustainable food safety

At the 49th meeting of the Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC49) in Geneva, Switzerland, a side event was organized, titled “Showcasing efforts to ensure sustainable food safety leadership and advocacy”. World Food Safety Day / Ecuador food employees encouraged to develop food safety improvements

To celebrate World Food Safety Day at Starkist, a seafood production company, employees were encouraged to think of ways to improve the food safety practices in their work area. The Mexican company DK Foods, which manufactures marinades, condiments, seasonings, and specialty premixes, celebrated World Food Safety Day over an entire week.
