The Faculty of Food Industry Technology at the New Assiut Technological University in Assiut, Egypt will celebrate World Food Safety Day. The day includes opening and closing ceremonies and two sessions by Dr Gamal El-Sayed and Dr Ahmed El-Mesallamy, lecturers in food science and technology and food safety experts, who will carry out a commemorative day for students of the Faculty of Food Industry Technology.

The first session is a 60-minute lecture that will introduce World Food Safety Day, discussing the 2023 theme "Food standards save lives" and the World Food Safety Day slogan "Food safety is everyone’s business".

The second 60-miniute session will address "Food Safety Awareness in Households", with discussions on techniques and methods that ensure food safety in households.

Both sessions are scheduled for the entire student body in order to raise awareness about the day within the university community. The scheduled activities will take place on June 7 of this year. The expected audience will be around 150–200 students, university staff members, and administration staff.
