I work at the Sustainable Food Systems team of the European Centre for Development Policy Management (ECDPM). My passion is making food systems more sustainable by working together with all stakeholders, especially in Africa and Europe. Both in writing and in practice, I have worked on food systems in South Africa, Kenya, Mozambique, and at the global level. Communication and engagement are key parts of my work. While I currently live in the Netherlands, I connect with Southern Africa as a Research Fellow at the Centre for the Study of Governance Innovation in Pretoria. Before joining ECDPM, I was a Research Fellow at the Centre of Excellence in Food Security, South Africa. I have a PhD in Political Economy from the University of Pretoria, where I was an Andrew W. Mellon grant holder.
