The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in collaboration with the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) organized a virtual consultation on the agro-edaphic suitability assessment procedures and tables for the development of the new Global Agro-Ecological Zoning version 5 (GAEZ v5).

During the consultation the soil requirement tables from the GAEZ v4 Model Documentation (Appendices 6.3, 6.4, 6.5) and accessible through the Global Agro-Ecological Zones Data Portal (link) were reviewed by soil experts.
