Training on digital soil mapping (DSM) for the Eurasian Soil Partnership (EaSP) was held from 31 October to 4 November 2016 in Almaty, Kazakhstan, hosted at the Kazakh Research Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry.

A training on Digital Soil Mapping with focus on soil Carbon Modelling was conducted in Rabat, Morocco from 10 to 14 October 2016.

Today, the 25^th session of the Committee on Agriculture (COAG25) endorsed the Voluntary Guidelines for Sustainable Soil Management (VGSSM).

FAO member countries and all GSP partners are invited to support and contribute to the development of the Global Soil Organic Carbon map (GSOC map) that will be released by the end of 2017.
