Main activities:
In September 2021, FAO and the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Research Center for Fisheries and Aquaculture (HAKI), solidified their collaboration through the signing of an "Exchange of Letters." This partnership is dedicated to supporting smallholders and advancing the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The collaborative activities include the development of sustainable freshwater aquaculture, the exchange of experts in the fields of inland fisheries and aquaculture, fostering cooperation on the sustainable use, management, conservation, and development of inland fisheries resources and ecosystems in Europe and Central Asia.
