جدول الأعمال العالمي بشأن الثروة الحيوانية المستدامة هو شراكة بين أصحاب المصلحة الملتزمين بالتنمية المستدامة لقطاع الثروة الحيوانية. وهو يُلبّي الحاجة إلى عمل جماعي متضافر لمواجهة التحديات غير المسبوقة التي يواجهها هذا القطاع.
ومع توقع وصول عدد سكان العالم إلى 9.6 مليارات نسمة في عام 2050، من المنتظر أن ينمو الطلب على منتجات الثروة الحيوانية بنسبة 20 في المائة. ويحتاج هذا القطاع إلى تلبية الطلب المتزايد على اللحوم والبيض والحليب، الناجم عن تزايد عدد سكان العالم، والناجم كذلك عن ارتفاع مستوى المعيشة والتوسّع الحضري.
