Beneficiaries
Since the launch of the Global Capacity Development Programme in 2017, FAO has provided and continues to provide crucial tailor-made support to States, especially developing States, to implement the PSMA as well as flag, coastal and market State responsibilities as defined in other instruments.
As of February 2025, more than 70 countries have benefited from the Global Capacity Development Programme in multiple areas, as presented in the graph below.
A more detailed explanation of the type of support provided to individual countries is available in this document (Annex II).
