Ankara, Turkey - From October 4-7, the SPIAC-B's Working Group on Linking Humanitarian (Cash) Assistance and Social Protection held a workshop in Ankara, Turkey. The event served to define the Working Group's workplan and related activities for the upcoming years. It also served as a platform to promote knowledge and learning among member organisations through thematic presentations, dialogue, experience sharing, and a field visit to see how linkages between humanitarian assistance and social protection have been established in the Social Safety Net for Emergencies, Conditional Cash Transfer for Education, and Supplemental Safety Net for Emergencies programmes in Turkey.  

As part of the SPIAC-B's Working Group, FAO works for strengthened linkages between humanitarian cash assistance and social protection in different crisis settings and operational contexts.
