The FAO Transparency Portal continues to evolve with the introduction of two new features in the Programme Budget and Human Resources Dashboard: the PIR Results View and the Biennium Comparison Functions for Budget.

These enhancements respond to Members’ requests for greater transparency and provide users with new ways to explore FAO’s results and resource allocation across time, strategic priorities, and geographies. Explore FAO results through the new PIR Results View

The new PIR Results View is available from the Programme Implementation Report tab by selecting the “Results” button.

The feature provides a consolidated overview of FAO’s programme performance during the biennium, bringing together programme implementation results, status, and complementary indicators- including key support indicators appreciation scores and contributions to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Users can explore data by Better and PPA, Region and Organizational Unit. By bringing these data together in a single place, the Results View makes it easier to understand FAO’s achievements and monitor progress towards organizational objectives and the SDGs.

Compare budget data across biennia

The Programme of Work and Budget tab now includes new Biennium Comparison Functions for Budget in the Programme of Work and Budget tab allowing users to compare budget data across different biennia.

The comparison tools enable analysis by Better/Chapter, Region and Organizational Unit, providing additional insights into how resources are allocated and evolve over time.

Users can also download comparison data for further analysis and reporting.

Supporting transparency and informed decision-making

These new features strengthen the FAO Transparency Portal’s role as a resource for Members, partners and the public by making information more accessible, comparable and actionable.

By enhancing visibility into FAO’s results, and resource allocation, the Programme, Budget and Human Resources Dashboard continues to support transparency, accountability and evidence-based decision-making.
