This indicator focuses on a governmental policy framework and strategies for PGRFA conservation and use in the country of the reporting National Focal Point (NFP).
It is based on information reported in response to question 13.3 of the Reporting Format for Monitoring the Implementation of the Second Global Plan of Action for PGRFA.
Question 13.3 requests the NFP to provide any governmental policy framework and strategy for PGRFA conservation and use in place.

The indicator is calculated as the existence (existed/did not exist) of a governmental policy framework and strategies for PGRFA conservation and use in the country during the reporting period/at the end of the reporting period.

Countries, total is the total number of reporting countries in the selected country/region reported by the NFP at the end of the reporting period.
Countries with PGRFA policy/strategies, total is the total number of reporting countries with a governmental policy framework and strategies for PGRFA conservation and use in the selected country/region reported by the NFP at the end of the reporting period.
