Information note for event organizers

What is a Congress event?

Besides daily official plenaries, dialogues and special events, the Congress will accommodate other events, such as side events, networking events, launches, performances or regional events. A Congress event is organized for the purpose of sharing experiences and innovations as well as increasing opportunities for dialogue among Congress participants on a particular topic. Events will take place in the official Congress venue and are open to all interested participants registered to attend the Congress.

Status of call for events

The deadline for application to the call for events was extended to 13 March 2015 and is now closed. By now, organizers who have made proposals for events within the established deadline have received notification of whether or not their event has secured a slot during the Congress.

Facilities

The space for events in the Congress venue will be free of charge.

The standard room set up includes theatre seating for delegates, podium, head table, screen, data projector, laptop, laser pointer and 2 roving microphones for questions and answers.

Any additional technical requirements or services such as catering will generate extra costs which will be charged to the individual event organizers.
