FAO Priorities in DPRK 2012 - 2015
FAO assistance in DPR Korea is shaped by the 2012-2015 FAO Country Programming Framework (CPF), which was recently extended to 2016 in line with the United Nations Strategic Framework (UNSF) for the country.
Five priority areas
The CPF is centred on the following priority areas:
1. Strengthening national food and nutritional security
2. Improving natural resource management
3. Improving rural livelihoods
4. Improving mitigation on the impact of climate change on agriculture and improved desaster management
5. Strengthening institutional capacity for agricultural research, extension and administration
