The High Commissioner of the 3N Initiative (les nigériens nourrissent les nigériens), the Ministries of Agriculture and Livestock, the governorates of selected regions, Non-governmental Organizations and local associations.

Beneficiaries reached:

14 500 vulnerable households.

Activities implemented:
  • Procured and distributed 120 tonnes of potato seeds and 3 500 kg of vegetable seeds (cabbage, carrot, lettuce and tomato) to 13 000 beneficiary households.
  • Procured and distributed 225 tonnes of animal feed to 1 500 beneficiary households.
  • Built four maisons du paysan (farmers’ storage facilities) to strengthen capacities in terms of agricultural input and animal feed supply.
  • Procured 29 grinders for the production of multinutrient blocks.
  • Cultivated 11 787 ha of land and produced 314 783 tonnes of vegetables.
  • Ensured animal feed for 7 500 small ruminants during the lean season.
  • Established animal feed stocks.
  • Improved farming activities thanks to the construction of storage facilities.
  • Estimated a production of 696 000 multinutrient blocks per year thanks to the distribution of grinders.
  • Increased food coverage for beneficiary households (from four to eight months).
