AGREMAL gathers researchers interested in the recognition, practices, strategies and values of agricultural activities that deviate from the conventional agriculture. The group produces scientific knowledge on topics associated especially with the multiple functions of family farming. The group is part of the Inter-Unit Postgraduate Program in Applied Ecology, at the University of Sao Paulo (ESALQ/USP). O AGREMAL reúne pesquisadores interessados no reconhecimento, práticas, estratégias e valores em torno de atividades agrícolas que se afastam do produtivismo da agricultura convencional. O grupo produz conhecimento científico sobre temáticas associadas especialmente às múltiplas funções da agricultura familiar. Suas abordagens se caracterizam por um caráter multidimensional, contribuindo notadamente com o debate sobre a interdisciplinaridade, vocação do Programa de Pós-Graduação Interunidades (ESALQ-CENA) em Ecologia Aplicada da Universidade de São Paulo (USP), na qual o grupo está inserido.
