HOUSE OF NATIONAL FARMERS (HONF-GHANA) The House of National Farmers with the adopted acronym HONF was incorporated under the companies code 1963, Act 179 on 26th November, 2018. The idea for the formation of the HONF was mooted by a team of development change – makers, social entrepreneurs, business innovators who aggressively seek to add value to agriculture/agribusiness practice, transforming it from the current hand – to – mouth vocation to youth dominated, respectable and attractive business venture, profitable and commercially viable trade practice to achieving massive jobs generation and wealth creation in a sustainable way.The HONF, will, ostensibly focus on addressing age-long critical challenges associated with the sector value – chain to include youth exclusion in the trade practice on the account of being considered an area for illiterates, failures and disappointed in life, constraints of access to smart credit, the ageing farmer syndrome impacting on food security (availability, affordability and access), policy failures in modernizing and industrializing the sector through value addition to achieving a stable cedi driven export economy. Essentially, HONF will serve as a strategic platform of actors along the value chain who will be committed to engage in the following programmes as HONF’s
