RESILEA association is formed by a multidisciplinary team that for 10 years has been experimenting and implementing participatory methodologies for the strengthening of civil society. The goal is the empowering of communities (local or community of interest) through a relational approach on the issues of socio-ecological awareness and human rights. In the last three years the challenge is to develope in Pantelleria Island a "prototype" of community based enterprise (Cooperativa di Comunità) to empower family farming in marginal areas where local community are disgregating and forced to migrate in urban areas. Local Ecological Knowledge is the field in which we start our particitpatory processes, giving the possibility to the custodians of biodiversity to seat at the same table of researchers and institutions. Following a systemic approach the idea is to develop a socio-ecological sustainability model, considering local community as an enterprise.Our work include empowerment of local community trough video and communication
