Organized in the context of the International Year of Pulses 2016, this webinar featured two presentations showcasing innovative practices that could help increase the role of pulses from both a producer and a consumer point of view.

  1. Presentation "Legume Innovations" by Sieg Snapp,  Associate Director of the Center for Global Change and Earth Observation and Professor of Soils and Cropping Systems Ecology at Michigan State University 
  2. Quick poll on consumption patterns of pulses by the participants.
  3. Presentation "Fast Cooking Beans Make the Meal" by Karen Cichy, Research Plant Geneticist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture
  4. Q&A session and brief discussion round
