The 75th International Astronautical Congress (IAC), scheduled for 14-18 October 2024, will see the arrival in Milan of over 8,000 experts from industry, research and the institutions and place Italy at the heart of the international debate on the use of Space to support sustainability.

The International Astronautical Congress (IAC) 2024 was awarded to Milan in October 2021, with support from AIDAA, ASI, and Leonardo representing the Italian academic, institutional, and space industry sectors. The Italian Government, Lombardy Region President, and Milan Mayor played crucial roles. The event, themed "Responsible Space for Sustainability," aims to emphasize the secure and open exploration of space for international cooperation. Over 8,000 experts worldwide will gather in Milan to discuss the challenges and opportunities in space, as the number of satellites is expected to grow significantly. Italy, a leader in the space economy, stresses responsible space usage for a digital, green, and sustainable future. The IAC 2024 will showcase Italy's comprehensive space economy supply chain, involving manufacturing, applications development, satellite services, propulsion, and launch systems. The event on July 15 will reaffirm Italy's commitment to responsible space exploration.
