On June 21, 2023, Africapolis will launch Africapolis 2023 in partnership with SWAC Cities and Territories team. The event will take place in Boulogne-Billancourt, France and aims to exhibit the updated version of the website and database for Africapolis. While urbanization can enhance millions of lives in Africa, a scarcity of data prevents policymakers from creating effective policies. Keynote speakers intend to delve into how Africapolis and other sources generate evidence-backed policies while fostering inclusive, productive, and sustainable urbanization throughout Africa. Dr. Matieu Henry representing FAO Geospatial Unit will be present during the function at the request of the invitation team.
