The Geospatial Unit in Land and Water Division at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations organized a virtual event to collect the user experience using Land Characterization System Software on 4 October 2023. Total 39 participants from different Divisions in FAO, different organization including Joint Research Center, Centre for Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Services in Ghana, National Research Council in Italy, AGHRYMET- West Africa, Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, European Environment Agency, academia and others, participated. 

The follow-up meeting will be organized in coming months with an updated software version taking into consideration the comments received during the consultation.
