Mitigación del Cambio Climático en la Agricultura

Dominican Republic

FAO, through the UN-REDD and MICCA Programme, has supported the Ministry of Environment of Dominican Republic in the systematization of the process and in the development of a protocol to include the Agriculture, Forestry and Other Land Use (AFOLU) sector in the national greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory system. The main activities aimed to support the set-up of institutional arrangements for data collection, to enhance country capacity in estimating GHG emissions from the AFOLU sector. In addition, based on country-specific needs, FAO facilitated the design and development of a manual for planning, preparing and reporting the national GHG inventory for the AFOLU sector.
