FAO India has been actively engaging with senior officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare (MoAFW) and members from ICAR on FAW related issues, as FAO has been the lead institution to coordinate the response to the FAW emergency in Africa.

Ms. Anne-Sophie Poisot, FAOR (a.i.) has presented FAO's Global Coordination work on the FAW Emergency with knowledge to date on FAW and the various tools and support services which FAO can offer to the Government of India.
