The first State Steering Committee meeting for the GEF 6 funded, Green Agriculture project was held on 22nd February 2019, at the Secretariat, Government of Uttarakhand.

The meeting was chaired by the Agriculture Production Commissioner, Government of Uttarakhand  and attended by various Secretary –level officials of different line Departments. Officials of the Department of Watershed Development, which is the Operational Partner in the state, were also present.

Tomio Shichiri, FAO Representative in India and Konda Chavva, Assistant FAOR also participated in the meeting. The agenda of the meeting included the approval and endorsement of the Annual Work Plan and Budget (AWPB) for the first year of the project (2019-20) and the Fund Flow mechanism.
