CONTEST: Good Practices in School Feeding Programmes (SFPs) - Deadline July 31, 2018

Launched by FAO and the Government of Brazil, the Contest on Good Practices in School Feeding Programmes (SFPs) in Latin America and the Caribbean aims to identify successful experiences of school feeding programmes in the region. School feeding experiences shared during the contest will inform a digital publication intended to stimulate the development of other successful school feeding programmes in other countries. 

Who can apply?
Municipal/local governments, national governments, universities, parents associations and farmers organizations.

Prizes: 

a) Honorable mention to all the winners.

b) Money prizes for the purchase of equipment and/or utensils for serving food in schools:      

USD$ 5,000 – first place

USD$ 3,000 – second place

USD$ 1,000 – third place 

c) Inclusion of the experience in a digital publication of good practices in school feeding programmes that will be produced in the framework of the Brazil-FAO International Cooperation Project. 

The contest will run from April 16, 2018 to July 31, 2018 and an award ceremony will take place in October 2018 during FAO’s celebration of World Food Day. Learn more.
