It is designed to balance simplicity, accuracy and robustness, and is particularly suited to address conditions where water is a key limiting factor in crop production. AquaCrop is a companion tool for a wide range of users and applications.

AQUAMaps is the FAO global online spatial database on water and agriculture. It makes accessible through a simple interface regional and global spatial datasets on water resources and water management considered as a standard information resource, produced by FAO or by external data providers.

AQUASTAT is FAO's global information system on water and agriculture.
It collects, analyses and disseminates data and information by country and by region. Its aim is to provide users interested in global, regional and national analyses with comprehensive information related to water resources and agricultural water management across the world, with emphasis on countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean.

CROPWAT is a decision support system developed by the Land and Water Development Division of FAO. CROPWAT is meant as a practical tool to help agro-meteorologists, agronomists and irrigation engineers to carry out standard calculations for evapotranspiration and crop water use studies, and more specifically the design and management of irrigation schemes.

Climwat is a climatic database to be used in combination with the computer program CROPWAT. It includes data from a total of 3262 meteorological stations from 144 countries.

ETo calculator is a software developed by the Land and Water Division of FAO. Its main function is to calculate Reference evapotranspiration (ETo) according to FAO standards.

WATERLEX is a searchable database established by FAO legal experts. The database represents a great utility to lawmakers, policymakers, researchers, lawyers, water technicians and, in general, government officials around the world who want to know more about the legislative and regulatory framework for water. The legislative database contains an analysis of the legal framework governing water resources in a large number of countries.

IES is a database that seeks to establish a list of irrigation equipment services worldwide. IES has been developed as part of FAO's mandate to provide information on irrigation. Prospective beneficiaries of IES are those who need to locate information on irrigation equipment at regional or country level.
