FAO in Pakistan

The FAO in Pakistan Office provides learning opportunities and multilingual e-learning courses free of charge with the overall goal of strengthening individual capacity of member countries such as Pakistan to achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Our courses are closely aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals and FAO strategic programmes, and are peer reviewed by subject experts to ensure content accuracy, quality and coherence.

All the learning resources are offered free of charge as a global public good, directly supporting all the SDGs, and in particular SDG 4: “Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all”.

The overall goal of FAOs e-learning efforts is to contribute to the sustainable economic and social advancement of its member countries. To do this, it focuses on transfer of competencies, development of expertise and promoting innovation, to strengthen human resources and institutions.

The FAO in Pakistan e-learning courses promote sustainability, by ensuring that new competencies are embedded in local institutions, and tailored to country-specific needs, whilst enabling and empowering Pakistan to be better equipped to face key challenges in agriculture.
