The multi-stakeholder initiative ‘Partnership on the environmental benchmarking of livestock supply chains’ is the result of a consultative process started in October 2010 between FAO’s Animal Production and Health Division and a group of agriculture and food business representatives resulting in the decision to further explore the possibility of developing a multi-stakeholder partnership on benchmarking and monitoring of the environmental performance of the livestock sector.
