FAO/WHO Joint Meeting on Pesticide Management (JMPM)

The FAO/WHO Joint Meeting on Pesticide Management (JMPM) provides technical and policy advice on the lifecycle management of pesticide and is responsible for developing guidelines to facilitate the implementation of the individual articles of the International Code of Conduct on Pesticide Management.

The JMPM is comprised of the FAO Panel of Experts on Pesticide Management and the WHO Panel of Experts on Vector Biology and Control. Panel Members are internationally recognized specialists with expertise and experience relevant to the lifecycle management of pesticides used in agriculture or public health. They do not represent the position of the governments or institutions they may belong to, but are appointed to their respective Panels in their personal capacity.

The annual meetings of the JMPM include open sessions where representatives from intergovernmental organizations, the pesticide industry and non-governmental organizations may participate as observers. They may be invited to provide their views but are excluded from decision-making.
