FAO conducts training on desert locust control and surveillance

East Africa is facing a massive desert locust crisis that’s stripping farming families of food and income and threatening the food security of millions throughout the region. As a part of the action plan to boost the Government of Kenya’s response, FAO is conducting various practical training sessions and capacity building exercises on spraying and surveillance for government staffers and volunteers.
