This training package is aimed at trainers who need to train public and private sector front line agricultural extension workers in farm management in Africa. Its aim is to contribute to building capacity by improving the skills of extension workers and, through them, the farmers with whom they work. The training methodology used in the materials is experiential and participatory.  The package is composed of seven modules: Module 1: Getting started; Module 2: Understanding the farm setting; Module 3: Farm management decision-making; Module 4: Farm management tools; Module 5: Participatory approaches; Module 6: Planning; Module 7 Review, evaluation and examination. There is also a training aids package composed of hand outs, test forms and PowerPoints.
