High Level Dialogue on the Global Forest Agenda

Forests are vital for implementing the post-2015 development agenda. The high-level dialogue will explore the kinds of investments in forests, forestry and forest communities that will best contribute to implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the future climate-change regime. Speakers will discuss:
- The long-term vision for action on forests
- Critical forest-related investment needs
- Success stories in increasing investment in forests, forestry and forest communities
- The message that the Congress should send to UNFCCC COP21 in Paris and to the UN General Assembly on the role of forests in implementing the post-2015 development agenda The high-level dialogue will feed into and guide the outcome of the XIV World Forestry Congress
