The percentage of 2026 assessed contributions paid to the Organization by Member Nations as of 31 January was 10.6 percent; a lower rate of receipt than at the end of January 2025, which was 13.2 percent (consolidated at FAO budget rate).
As at 31 January 2026, outstanding contributions, including arrears, amounted to USD 720.4 million. As at 31 January 2025, the unpaid contributions stood at USD 637.0 million (consolidated at UNORE).
Table 1 below shows the cumulative percentage rate of receipts of Regular Programme contributions by quarter over the past five years. The 1st quarter of 2026 is as at 31 January 2026.The graph reflects the actual percentage rate of receipts versus a hypothetical even rate of receipt of 25% per quarter (as represented by the red line).
Table 2 shows the total cumulative USD and Euro receipts in 2026, and the total annual amounts of assessed contributions billed to Member Nations.

The report includes Member Nations with arrears of contributions as defined in Financial Regulation 5.5 as follows:
"Contributions and advances shall be due and payable in full within 30 days of the receipt of the communication of the Director-General referred to in Regulation 5.4 above, or as of the first day of the calendar year to which they relate, whichever is the later. As of 1 January of the following calendar year, the unpaid balance of such contributions and advances shall be considered to be one year in arrears."
