The Training Centre for Sustainable Family Farming (CCAFS for its acronym in Portuguese), based in São Tomé and Príncipe, has the mission to stimulate cooperation between member countries of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP) in favor of sustainable agriculture, agroecology, and access to healthy food for the entire community.

The inauguration of CCAFS will be attended by:

- Francisco dos Ramos, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development of São Tomé and Príncipe;

- Francisco Ribeiro Telles, Executive Secretary of CPLP;

- Hélder Muteia, the FAO Sub-Regional Coordinator for Central Africa and Representative for Gabon and São Tomé and Príncipe;

- Júlia Alves, President of ACTUAR;

- Emma Siliprandi, Agriculture Officer at FAO.

The event will be held in Portuguese and will be moderated by Emílio Lima - the Local Coordinator of the Cooperation Project for CAAFS Capacity Development in CPLP.
