Le delta du Mékong au Vietnam engage sa transition agroécologique
The Mekong Delta, Vietnam’s agricultural powerhouse, faces mounting challenges from climate change, soil degradation, and pesticide overuse. The STAR-FARM project, supported by the FAO and the EU, is introducing agroecological practices to transform the region’s food systems.
With €4.15 million in funding, this three-year initiative focuses on sustainable solutions like mixed cropping and pest management, aiming to reduce pesticide use and restore soil health. STAR-FARM not only enhances local ecosystems but also empowers vulnerable communities, driving resilience and sustainability in one of the world’s most vital agricultural regions.
