This video depicts the third session of the second day of the regional consultation on ‘’Engaging with Academia and Research Institutions (ARIs) to support Family Farmers and Food System Transformation during and post COVID-19 Pandemic in Asia’’ held on 8 and 9 December 2021.
The video presents the role of actor-networks in enabling agroecological innovation. It features lessons from 15 years of on-field applications in the northern uplands of Laos and the empowering communities to drive experimentations to support agro-ecological transitions in collaboration with extension systems and farmers' organizations.
The virtual regional consultation was jointly organized by the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA), the Asian Farmers' Association for Sustainable Rural Development (AFA), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development (CIRAD), GRET, with the technical assistance of the FAO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific.
