As part of this year’s World Food Forum (WFF) flagship event in October, at FAO headquarters in Rome, students from eight Italian high schools took on the challenge of designing digital solutions to support farmers around the world. The activity under the theme “Youth Empowerment through Agro-informatics and Digital Technologies in Agriculture”, took place within the WFF Discovery Stations of the CultivatED schools programme.

25–26 August 2025 — The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), in collaboration with its Ethiopia office, conducted a two-day virtual workshop to strengthen national capacity in agricultural data management and analysis using the FAO Agro-Informatics Platform (AIP). The training brought together participants from FAO Ethiopia office and from Ethiopian government institutions, to enhance skills and knowledge for evidence-based agricultural planning.
