State Institution “I.S. Lupinovich Belarus Agricultural Library” of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (“BelAL”) is the national research agricultural library that performs a function of the national information centre for agriculture, forestry, food and natural resources. The aim of BelAL is to support research and development in the field of agricultural sciences and agro-industrial complex of the country and provide every resident of Belarus with open access to national and international information resources on agriculture and related industries.

More than 25 years BelAL as national centre of AGRIS using AGROVOC for indexing national publications. Nowadays we would be very happy to add Belarusian as a new language in AGROVOC and BelAL is on the way to a new incoming editor of AGROVOC. Adding Belarusian to AGROVOC will contribute to the fact that Belarusian publications will become more discoverable, also by researchers who do not speak Belarusian.
